"The Talking Ship" is a very special children's event in Potsdam on the theater ship in the Tiefen See lake, suitable for the whole family. It combines an interactive ship tour for children with an audio play for children. The heroine of the audio play is "Hanna".

Hanna is "just" a roach; no angler is interested in her. And so, for a long time, Hanna has been the neighbor of the old ship "Sturmvogel," which is moored at the jetty in the Tiefen See (Deep Lake), without the two knowing each other. Lately, Hanna keeps hearing noises and sounds that get on her nerves. She listens more closely and makes astonishing discoveries… A fable about the effects of climate change on the Tiefen See in Potsdam and the power of solidarity.

After a hands-on tour of the ship, where children can make paper boats and learn knots, they can experience the audio play "The Talking Ship" about Hanna's discovery inside the ship. Children can relax on a cushioned area and, while listening, color the animals featured in the play on provided coloring sheets.

The prominent actress and audiobook narrator Cathlen Gawlich (the voice of Sandy Cheeks in "SpongeBob SquarePants" and of Mama Lausemaus from "Leo Lausemaus") gave her voice to all the animals appearing in the radio play.
