The Ladies' Wing of Sanssouci Palace

With the accession of King Frederick William IV in June 1840, Sanssouci Palace became the summer residence of a Prussian ruler for the second time in its history. After furnishing the royal apartments, the king had the palace's side wings expanded. The west wing now housed the apartments of royal guests and the ladies-in-waiting of Queen Elizabeth of Prussia. In addition to the original suite of rooms, the ladies' wing also contains exhibits from the palace's royal use during the 19th century. This special opening offers visitors the exclusive opportunity to explore the ladies' wing on guided tours.
