Developments surrounding the Old Market
GUIDED TOUR OF THE OLD MARKET: “On the Square” – the Potsdam redevelopment agency, the state capital and the Potsdam Museum will jointly examine the Old Market and the developments around the square in the summer of 2026.
The exhibition “Space___ for New Things?” at the Potsdam Museum takes a historical, analytical and urban-societal look at its origins and transformations.
The guided tour of the Old Market Square will cover its current appearance, the ongoing construction projects and plans for blocks III to V, and the open space planning measures for Versailles Square and Steuben Square. You will also learn more about the redevelopment goals, current planning processes, and further implementation measures.
The square itself and its surroundings are therefore an integral part of the exhibition concept!
We invite you to the Old Market Square – for a stroll, a chance to exchange ideas and experience the square!
