after Hans Christian Andersen,
theatrical reading with sounds, noises and music
What do you do when suddenly the beloved is no longer what you knew it to be, when good is considered bad, truth is declared a lie, and beauty seems to have become the ugliest thing in the world? What is disappearing, and where has it gone? Am I, are we, out of our minds? What is shattering within us and before our very eyes? Can I still trust my sense of truth?
Hans Christian Andersen takes us on an adventurous journey to the North Pole. The Snow Queen has kidnapped the boy Kai there after a shard of a magic mirror turned his heart to ice. His friend Gerda bravely sets off alone to the Snow Queen's ice palace to rescue her beloved Kai. Along the way, she encounters a mysterious old woman with magical powers, a talking raven, and a wild robber girl with a reindeer.
