Film screening "1-2-3 Corona"

Film
In the summer of 1945, schools are still closed. Boys Dietrich and Gerhard belong to rival gangs who conduct shady business on the black market. A traveling circus sets up camp on a construction site. The children join forces against the circus director when they witness his mistreatment of the acrobat Corona. During their act of revenge, however, the girl is injured. The boys nurse the young woman back to health and even rehearse a circus act for her. (Rated G, recommended for ages 8 and up)

1-2-3 Corona was the first film shot on the Babelsberg studio lot (formerly UFA) after World War II. This successful blend of post-war rubble and circus film draws on the traditions of late Weimar cinema and films like "Emil and the Detectives," offering children a captivating cinematic experience.
