Guided tours of the Jewish Cemetery in Potsdam

guided tour / tour
The Friends of the Jewish Cemetery Potsdam Association aims to make the cemetery on Pfingstberg known through guided tours, to tell its history(ies), to highlight its significance and to present the diverse efforts to maintain and permanently protect it as a cultural asset.

As the largest and one of the oldest of its kind in Brandenburg, the entire complex, including the funeral hall, gardener's house, and 532 historic graves, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999 and is managed by the Lower Monument Protection Authority. Established in October 1743 and continuously used until the Nazi era, the cemetery was reopened in 1992 after decades of closure. Since then, burials according to Jewish rites have once again taken place here.
