Feeding time in the butterfly house

Delicate, colorful, and seemingly weightless – the tropical butterflies of the Biosphere Potsdam are among the quiet stars of this natural world. Even though they aren't actively fed, there's plenty to discover during their daily care: A nectar mixture is prepared and distributed on feeding tables and fruit. Visitors learn exactly what's in the butterfly cocktail, why some species don't drink at all, and how short – or surprisingly long – a butterfly's life can be.

All animal feedings are of course already included in the Biosphere entrance price.
