A picture-perfect guided kayak tour: the landscape of castles, parks, and lakes between Berlin and Potsdam represents the pinnacle of 19th-century Romantic landscape design. At the same time, it was a stage for 20th-century events: Truman, Churchill, and Stalin resided here during the Potsdam Conference, and later the death strip of the Berlin Wall ran through this area. Agents were exchanged on the famous Glienicke Bridge, and in 1989, German reunification was celebrated here.
But this tour is not only interesting from a cultural and historical perspective. On the northern side of Lake Griebnitzsee, a natural shoreline awaits us, with fallen trees and reeds – a habitat for, among others, grey herons, cormorants, and beavers.

Paddling is done in stable kayaks. Two-person and single kayaks are available; no prior experience is necessary.

Duration: 3 hours, Length: approx. 7 km
Start and finish at Griebnitzsee train station, meeting point: bike and canoe station in the station hall
