With the Belvedere Pfingstberg, Frederick William IV brought his grand "Italian dream" to Potsdam. Inspired primarily by Roman buildings, the architecture of this panoramic palace reflects, among other things, the Villa Medici with its soaring towers and the Villa d'Este in Tivoli. To this day, it remains one of the most impressive buildings in the state capital, exuding a unique Italian flair. Its picturesque arcades and Potsdam's most beautiful views invite visitors to stroll and dream.
