"LIGHT" – Old German Christmas and winter songs in a new jazz guise

Same procedure as every year? Not quite. Because instead of the usual Christmas jazz songs on Christmas Day, this year's program features beautiful old German Christmas and winter songs. Familiar melodies like "Es ist ein Ros' entsprungen" (Lo, How a Rose E'er Blooming), "Süßer die Glocken nie klingen" (Sweeter the Bells Never Sound), and "Leise rieselt der Schnee" (Softly Falls the Snow) appear in a new musical light. At the heart of it all is the versatile voice of Jessica Gall, who moves effortlessly between jazz, soul, chanson, and subtle folk influences. A timeless Christmas program full of light and warmth, free of pathos and surprisingly fresh!
