Baroque splendor and festive joy characterize this Christmas concert: French mezzo-soprano Adèle Charvet returns to Potsdam with the heartfelt "Nisi Dominus" by Antonio Vivaldi and the radiant "Domine Deus" from his Gloria. Leopold Mozart's cheerful Children's Symphony, a celebratory orchestral suite by Johann Sebastian Bach, elegant sounds by Jean-Philippe Rameau, and Frank Bridge's evocative Christmas Dance combine contemplation, brilliance, and vibrant Christmas joy.
