Morning Star of Ipanema - Latin American rhythms between tango and jazz
The concert by the German-Brazilian "Morgenstern von Ipanema" on September 4, 2026, is an invitation to a journey through emotions, cultures, and stories—a musical passion between worlds. Tobias Morgenstern brings the sound of northeastern Brazil to Europe—full of feeling, virtuosity, and rhythmic depth. In his compositions, traditional Forró dance forms such as Baião, Xote, and Maracatu meet his own unique style: romantic melodies, jazzy harmonies, and the sonic poetry of the accordion, creating a narrative voice in a new musical language.
As part of the ACCORDION MARATHONS Three further concerts will take place on October 16th, 17th and 18th in the French Church in Potsdam (Charlottenstr. 55-58, 14467 Potsdam). MARATHON TICKET The ticket includes admission to "Morning Star of Ipanema" and these three concerts.
