Franco-German New Year's greetings including a best-of selection from Kurt Weill's "Threepenny Opera", Paul Lincke's "Berliner Luft", Jacques Offenbach's "La vie parisienne" overture, Francis Poulenc's "Les Biches", Emil Waldteufel's "Skaters" waltz and "La vie en rose" 

While Berliners shout "Happy New Year!" to each other through the smoke of fireworks on New Year's Eve, in Paris they're mainly popping corks and exchanging plenty of kisses. Either way, they know how to celebrate on the Spree and the Seine! We're kicking off the new year with a vibrant and charming Franco-German fusion. Alongside hits by Kurt Weill and Paul Lincke, music by the adopted Parisian Jacques Offenbach, and waltzes by Franz Lehár, the German-American singer and entertainer Gayle Tufts pays homage not only to Marlene Dietrich but also to the "Little Sparrow of Paris."
