Open-air cinema summer at the wash house

  • Film

Every summer, the Thalia arthouse cinema in Babelsberg and the Waschhaus cultural center jointly present the open-air cinema summer on the event square in front of the Waschhaus in Schiffbauergasse. Here, current art-house cinema highlights, from comedies and music films to documentaries, are shown under the open sky.

The film program is regularly complemented by large live concerts or discussions with the directors and actors of the films being shown. Slams and themed parties before or after the screenings round out the supporting program of the film series. The Waschhaus open-air venue is located directly on the Havel River – here, film enthusiasts can enjoy exciting films on deck chairs under the stars, accompanied by ice cream, snacks, and cool drinks.

In order not to disturb neighboring events on the Schiffbauergasse grounds, the film screenings in August will take place with headphones (you can get them from the Waschhaus).
