SEROTONIN
“I was clearly just a wimp, a sad and insignificant wimp who, on top of everything else, got old.” Florent, a middle-aged man in a high-ranking position, has the undeniable feeling that his entire existence is trapped. Disillusioned with politics and his fellow human beings, failed in love, and marked by pervasive impotence, he sees his only remaining option as orchestrating his disappearance. He quits his relationship, his job, and his apartment to embark on a solitary winter journey to search for the origins of his failure. In a frank and unflinching assessment, he revisits the highs and lows of his life so far. A crucial element in this process is the memory of the love of his life, whom he himself destroyed through a brief sexual encounter.
