Storytelling theatre from the bakery (3+)
It's snowing, it's snowing! Finally! Mother Holle is shaking out her featherbeds! "What luck!" say some. "What bad luck!" say others. The familiar fairy tale of the two stepsisters who descend into a well and experience strange things is being told. It seems that Goldmarie and Pechmarie are experiencing the same thing. Or are they? The poetic production, performed in a bakery with dough figures and a great deal of fun storytelling, fascinates young and old alike.
The Licorice Theatre is an artists' collective from Berlin, founded in 2002 by puppeteers Kristina Feix and Nicole Weißbrodt. Both are graduates of the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin and have worked at numerous theaters as performers, directors, and set designers. The starting point for their lively and entertaining productions is the combination of puppet, object, and material theater.
