Animals up close – museum experiences for people with and without dementia
Whether it's the European hamster, wolf, white-tailed eagle, or brown bear: together with the group, the diversity of Brandenburg's wildlife is explored. Individual animal species are presented in detail, and by showing and touching specimens, furs, or feathers, the tour becomes a hands-on experience for people with dementia and their companions. Afterwards, there is a lively discussion over coffee and cake, where the day's experiences are revisited. The event always takes place on a Monday when the museum is closed, allowing the group ample time to explore the museum at their leisure.
