Christmas Oratorio for Singing Along: The Potsdam Oratorio Choir invites you to a festive sing-along concert featuring cantatas IV to VI from Johann Sebastian Bach's Christmas Oratorio. Together with soloists and the Potsdam Chamber Orchestra, Bach's Christmas story will be performed in all its musical splendor, from the naming of Jesus and the adoration of the Magi to the Holy Family's flight to Egypt.
Everyone who enjoys singing together is warmly invited to join in singing the beautiful chorales and magnificent choral pieces. This will transform the concert into a shared musical Christmas celebration: listening, singing along, and experiencing Bach's timeless music together.
Please bring the sheet music for cantatas IV–VI. Chorales and choral pieces can be prepared independently beforehand.
