The festive Christmas concert, a program for the whole family, is taking place in Potsdam for the 16th time. The ensemble of artists, with soloists, ballet dancers from the National Theatre Prague, and a chamber orchestra, is one of the most successful operetta ensembles of our time.
The "Viennese Operetta Christmas" program features a selection of the most famous holiday melodies. It includes well-known Viennese tunes, duets, and songs such as "Tales from the Vienna Woods," "Devotional Yodel," "Viennese Fiaker Song," and "It Will Soon Be Dark," as well as titles like "Suliko," "Ave Maria," "Eine kleine Nachtmusik," "O Holy Night," "Panis Angelicus," and "Silent Night." Excerpts from Johann Strauss's famous operetta "Wiener Blut," Franz Lehár's Volga Song, and other pieces by renowned operetta composers will also be performed.
