Theo's Island Café on Friendship Island

On the large terrace of the island café, located directly on the Alte Fahrt canal, guests can find a seat at either solid wooden tables or on delicate garden chairs at round tables. The clientele of the island café is as diverse as its furnishings: locals mingle with school groups and international visitors from the surrounding museums. A covered seating area is available. The café pays particular attention to families and caters to the needs of its younger guests. Adjacent to the café are a large adventure playground and a perennial garden. In addition, there is a garden pavilion that can be used as a weatherproof meeting and event space, equipped with a projector and screen.

The menu features dishes made with regional and seasonal ingredients: house-smoked pastrami sandwiches, fish, meat, and vegetable dishes, salads, pizzas from the pizza oven, pasta, and homemade cakes and waffles. Vegan options are also available. Hot and cold drinks are offered, many of them reduced in sugar. Snacks for takeaway can be packaged in recyclable containers upon request.

For cyclists, walkers and picnickers, the café offers fresh, regional products as a "takeaway treat" in a bag:

• Savory (Option 1: a sandwich or soup and potato salad with beef or vegan meatball or Option 2: a bowl with local vegetables, legumes and bread, vegan or with chicken)
• Sweets (cakes)
• Drink (water, spritzer or coffee specialty in a Potspresso cup)

Price per person: 20,00 EUR plus 5,00 EUR deposit for cups
Additionally, a picnic basket including dishes and blanket can be rented for a €10,00 deposit.
