Textile artist Juliane Rothenburg has her studio in the Dutch Quarter of Potsdam. A trained carpenter, restorer, and dressmaker, she not only creates fashionable accessories such as jewelry and hats, but also upholsters furniture and creates sculptures and outdoor installations. She employs various techniques in her work, including painting, printmaking, and patchwork. She particularly enjoys working with silk, crafting unusual jewelry pieces and shawl collars with extravagant clasps from the delicate, shimmering fabric. Anyone can observe her work in her studio by prior arrangement, and she also offers workshops on various topics.
