Church of the Redeemer

The imposing neo-Gothic church is a prominent feature of the Brandenburg suburb's neighborhood. Its red tower can be seen from afar. The architects Gotthilf Ludwig Möckel, Arthur Kickton, and Ferdinand Krüger jointly planned the building, which was constructed between 1896 and 1898.

The church, along with the adjacent Dr. Rudolf Tschäpe Square, which features an old copper beech tree, is a listed building. The ceiling of the Church of the Redeemer is relatively low, which, together with its large span, creates excellent acoustics. Since the end of 1997, the Israeli conductor Ud Joffe has led the Potsdam Choir and the music program at the Church of the Redeemer.
