Friedenskirche

Churches
The Church of Peace in Sanssouci Park was built between 1845 and 1854 according to plans by Ludwig Persius and August Stüler, based on designs by Frederick William IV. Together with the neighboring Preacher's House and the small Marly Palace, the three-aisled basilica forms part of an architectural ensemble that combines the king's romantic religiosity with his admiration for Italy. The Church of Peace is modeled on the early Christian church of San Clemente in Rome.
