Leistikowstraße Memorial and Meeting Place: Guided tour "The Soviet Leistikowstraße Investigation Prison"

More than seven decades after its conversion into the central remand prison for the Soviet secret service, the building on Leistikowstrasse has been preserved with a haunting authenticity. A tour of the permanent exhibition allows visitors to learn about the building's eventful history through compelling exhibits and historical photographs. The tour focuses on the biographies of former German and Soviet prisoners. The stark basement cells and numerous preserved prisoner inscriptions bear witness to the despair and disenfranchisement of those held captive.
