Huckleberry's Tour - Potsdam raft station

rafts
Without a doubt, the Potsdam raft station is one of the most popular starting points for a Huckleberrys raft tour. Located in the Schiffbauergasse art and culture district, this raft station is the ideal starting point for day trips, as well as for shorter, multi-day holiday adventures. Its central location and easy access by all forms of public transport make it the perfect base for a raft adventure on the Havel waterways of Potsdam. Nowhere else do world-famous cultural heritage and unspoiled nature come so close together. The area offers a unique combination for boating, cultural, and city holidays. The history, art, and culture of Prussia are reflected in the water. Emperors and kings, as well as the wealthy elite, film stars, and architects, have all left their mark here. From the water, you have a magnificent view of their palaces, parks, and villas.

Upstream, immediately after the Glienicke Bridge and after passing through the Jungfernsee (Virgin Lake), the Krampnitzsee (Lake Krampnitz) or the waters off the western shore of Peacock Island offer excellent, quiet anchorages for overnight stays. Downstream, you pass through Potsdam's historic city center and continue on the Havel River through a chain of lakes including the Templiner See, Petzinsee, and Schwielowsee. For an overnight stay, you can anchor on the Glindower See (Lake Glindow). This lake is one of the cleanest in Brandenburg and lies just outside the gates of the flower town of Werder/Havel. Numerous rest areas and campsites, as well as a variety of waterfront restaurants, practically invite you to stop and relax.

Especially on weekends, traffic on the Potsdam Havel waterways increases. A raft trip during the week offers even more relaxation on the water and increases the fun factor of rafting.

The technically inspected rafts, approved for a maximum of 8 people, are equipped with a motor for operation without a license and feature a weatherproof 1,55 m high superstructure. The side panels with window cutouts can be rolled up.

Shopping facilities are available in the immediate vicinity (Netto, Lidl, BioCompany & Aldi) and parking spaces are available in the parking garage (for a fee) on site.
