Jägertor

The Jägertor (Hunter's Gate), built in 1733, is the only one of Potsdam's seven city gates that remains in its original state. Today, it graces Potsdam's Hegelallee, a boulevard laid out in the early 19th century and renovated for the 2001 Federal Garden Show. The gate's decorations and figures depict a scene from the then-popular par force hunting and symbolize Frederick William I's passion for hunting.
