The museum FLUXUS+, a museum for modern art, is unique in Berlin, Potsdam and the surrounding area with its focus on the Fluxus movement and its extensive private collection of works by Wolf Vostell as well as works by contemporary artists.
The diverse program of temporary exhibitions, regular music events and art education programs make a positive contribution to the cultural development of the region and offer visitors exciting insights into the much-discussed art form of Fluxus.
permanent exhibition
The permanent exhibition presents multiples, objects, installations and artworks as well as correspondence, photos, books, catalogues, magazines, films, videos, and relics of actions.
The focus is on the artist's works. Wolf Vostell, an early member of the Fluxus group. His works form the core of the collection. They are arranged in thematic sections and offer a comprehensive overview of phases, themes, and techniques in Vostell's oeuvre, beginning with his early, often unknown works.
The "Plus" in museum FLUXUS+ stands for the inclusion of artists from the immediate Fluxus circle, such as Arman, Mary bauermeisterChristo, Hains, Lebel, Niki de Saint Phalle, and Ann Noël. In addition, the works of contemporary artists complete the exhibition. Constantino Ciervo, Hella de Santarossa, Lutz Friedel and Sebastian Heiner the collection and offer a glimpse into a contemporary interpretation of the Fluxus maxim "Art is life, life is art".
