Potsdam Natural History Museum: Friend or Foe

Museums
theme parks and experience exhibitions
Are raccoons, muskrats, and other invasive species a threat to our native flora and fauna? By exploring invasive animal species, students learn about archaeozoans and neozoans from different continents and can contribute to engaging discussions about the ecological and ethical questions this topic raises. The extent of the problem, the issues, and how we deal with these species encourage reflection on hunting and other human interventions in nature.

Further themed tours for grades 7-10:
Where do you come from? – Global and regional biological invasions
Everything is interconnected – food webs in the ecosystem
From wolf to dog – comparisons between wild and domestic animals
Climate change – from ice age to heatwave holidays
