New studio building Panzerhalle

The "Waldsiedlung" barracks in Groß Glienicke are a listed building due to their long history. In 1992, after the military vacated the premises, rooms and halls were opened to the public and used for artistic purposes. Unfortunately, some artists left the Waldsiedlung in disappointment after the demolition of the tank hangar. The Förderverein Atelierhaus Panzerhalle (Association for the Preservation of the Panzerhalle Studio Building) has been fighting to preserve the new studio building ever since. Lectures, events, exhibitions, courses, workshops, and guided tours take place here. The studio building opens its doors annually on Open Studio Day.
