Nordic Garden

Not far from the Sicilian Garden, in Sanssouci Park, lies the Nordic Garden. Besides its sculptural decorations, the garden is characterized by evergreen shrubs and trees, especially conifers. Its centerpiece is a shell grotto with a viewing platform, hidden behind a neoclassical facade. A male and a female ginkgo tree are particularly striking. With their light green foliage and vibrant yellow autumn colors, these trees create a beautiful contrast to the dark evergreen conifers.
