Babelsberg Park
The park, which stretches across several hills, was begun by Peter Joseph Lenné. From 1843 onwards, Hermann Prince Pückler-Muskau continued the planning of the landscape garden based on Lenné's path system. Water features are integrated into the park, which were reconstructed in 2016. These include five fountains, three waterfalls, a stream with a spring-fed fountain, the Wilhelm Basin, and the so-called Black Sea. The park is dominated by the Flatow Tower, built in the mid-19th century and modeled after the Eschenheimer Gate in Frankfurt am Main. From the park, there is a beautiful view of Glienicke Palace Park and the Glienicke Bridge, which became famous for the exchange of Western and Eastern spies.
