Potsdam Port

Potsdam's harbor, originally a steamboat landing on the eastern bank of the Havel River and relocated to the western bank in 1965/66, is now situated in the heart of Potsdam's historic center, between the main train station and the state parliament building. Nearby are the historic pleasure garden and the Friendship Island, located between the "Alte Fahrt" and "Neue Fahrt" canals.

The modern and historic passenger ships of the White Fleet Potsdam set sail from here for short cruises and full-day excursions. The offerings range from a 90-minute tour of the palaces to full-day trips along the Havel River or through the capital city of Berlin, as well as a variety of evening cruises. Season highlights include the "Fleet Parade" at the beginning of the season, "Nighttime Palace Impressions" (ten nighttime cruises in the summer along the illuminated Hohenzollern palaces), and "Wannsee in Flames" (at Berlin's most famous lake) at the end of the season.

The harbor restaurant "El Puerto" invites its guests - in winter to the conservatory and in summer to the Mediterranean terrace directly at the jetty.
