The Lindenstraße Memorial Foundation promotes the remembrance of victims of the Nazi dictatorship, the Soviet occupation, and the SED dictatorship. In the former courthouse and prison, the history of these different dictatorships and their victims is researched and documented. The foundation also commemorates the overcoming of the SED dictatorship and the fight for freedom and human rights. The Lindenstraße Memorial Foundation presents exhibitions on all phases of the building's history and regularly offers guided tours, projects, and events on related topics.
The Lindenstraße Memorial can be explored digitally on its website. A virtual tour leads through almost all the rooms and offers a wealth of background information. The integrated audio guide is available in German, English, and Easy Language. Even areas not open to the public, such as the remarkable 18th-century roof truss of the "Great Dutch House," can be explored digitally.

The front Baroque building, with its exhibition rooms, has a basement accessible to visitors with mobility impairments via a platform lift. The cell block further back is only accessible via some narrow stairs/metal steps. The courtyard is paved with rough cobblestones.
