Potsdam Theatre Ship

Located in the middle of Schiffbauergasse is the "Sturmvogel," a decommissioned cargo barge from 1942. Since 1992, it has served as a cultural venue. The program includes concerts, theater and dance performances, parties, and musical-literary events. Theater, however, is the main focus: both classic and experimental plays are presented, with renowned directors and actors alternating with up-and-coming artists.
Since 2016, the still seaworthy "theater ship" has been a registered industrial monument of the state of Brandenburg. It offers 89 seats and 120 standing places in the theater hall in the ship's hold and 40 seats on the summer upper deck.
