The Waschhaus Potsdam is a large, independent cultural center in Brandenburg and sees itself as a house "for everyone". Its diverse program ranges from concerts, club culture, readings, cabaret and comedy to poetry slams, dance and art, as well as open-air cinema in the summer and participatory programs like the "drum klub".
Original productions and collaborations with a wide variety of institutions, cultural organizations, and artists make the Waschhaus a place of cultural exchange. A diverse range of art and cultural projects are realized and presented here. In addition to internationally renowned artists, this multi-disciplinary venue offers a platform especially for young, emerging talents.
Since 1993, the Waschhaus has operated as a non-profit organization in Schiffbauergasse and also runs the Kunstraum Potsdam and the Oxymoron Dance Company in the Studiohaus Schiffbauergasse.
