The second stage of the 66 Lakes Trail leads from Marquardt to Brieselang. The trail winds through the Havelland lowlands, following the Havel Canal to the outskirts of Berlin.

Arrival: From Berlin Central Station take the RE4 (Rathenow) to Wustermark. From there continue with the RB21 (Potsdam Central Station) to Marquardt (approx. 1 hour).

Check out: From Brieselang take the RB10 (Berlin Südkreuz) to Berlin Hauptbahnhof (approx. 30 minutes).

Course: Marquardt, Buchow, Karzpow, Wustermark and Brieselang

Directions: Before the canal becomes a constant companion on the route after about a third of the way, near Buchow-Karzpow, the path from Marquardt onwards runs largely along paved trails through the Havelland countryside: open fields, small woods, marshy meadows, and orchards line the route. With its 24 meters of ascent and 31 meters of descent, this stage is very pleasant to hike. The maximum elevation is 47 meters above sea level, and the minimum is 27 meters above sea level.
