66-Lakes Hiking Trail

The 66 Lakes Trail, stretching over 400 km, is Brandenburg's main hiking trail. This circular route is considered one of the most attractive lowland hiking trails in Germany. Along its length, hikers experience the diverse landscapes of this region rich in forests and lakes. Extensive deciduous forests can be found in the northern sections, while pine forests dominate the south. Castles and parklands are the predominant feature of the western sections, and the eastern part reveals riparian forests and secluded, untouched natural landscapes.

All landscapes are interspersed with natural streams and rivers, pools, ponds and lakes, which alternate with diverse agricultural landscapes and dreamy villages. The nice thing is that all hiking stages can be easily covered by public transport. Fuss eV has issued a motto for this: "Hiking by train and bus is good. - Not only for our health and the environment, but also for the small train stations in Brandenburg."
With this in mind, Fuss eV has put together individual stages that make it possible to hike manageable sections that can be reached and then left again by train.
