European long-distance hiking trail E11 – From Potsdam to Nikolassee

This stage starts at Potsdam Central Station (Lange Brücke exit) and leads along the Havel River through Nuthepark to Babelsberg Park. It's worth allowing some extra time here, as many small paths invite exploration and relaxation. The official hiking trail follows the Havel Riverbank to the Teltow Canal and on to Klein Glienicke. Architecturally interesting villas adorn the northern shore of Lake Griebnitzsee. The E11 trail briefly passes through the settlement and continues along riverside and forest paths. Later, you cross the Griebnitz Canal and enter the Düppel Forest. The wide Kurfürstenweg path leads through the forest to Lake Wannsee – the perfect spot for a break. Refreshed, the trail continues through a residential area to the Rehwiesen – a drained depression in the landscape. Here, you can already faintly hear the sounds of Nikolassee S-Bahn station, the end of this stage.
