Enjoy the unspoiled landscape with its reed-fringed banks and the quiet stretch of the Havel River between Werder (Havel) and Paretz. Extension: If you would like to extend the tour, you could plan a detour to Ketzin/Havel after Paretz and before Phöben. In the fishing village of Ketzin/Havel, you can moor at the canoe rest area by the beach. There, you can camp or stay overnight in a tipi tent. Tip: Historic small town, winding lanes of the fishing quarter, riverside promenade. Please note the car ferry across the Havel. Alternatively, this route can be shortened. Canoe to Marquardt and continue from there by train.

Route:
The tour begins in Werder (Havel) at the water sports rest area next to the island. The route heads north across the Großer Zernsee (Great Zernsee) into the Wublitz (Tip: the old town, situated on an island in the Havel, features winding lanes, a post mill, and numerous cafes and restaurants). Be aware of the water skiing area on the right side of the Großer Zernsee. The tour continues across the Wublitz and the Sacrow-Paretzer Canal. This small, romantic chain of lakes leads through marshes and unspoiled nature to the Schlänitzsee (Schlänitz Lake). From here, turn left through the Sacrow-Paretzer Canal back to the Havel River. Note: commercial shipping traffic is present on the Sacrow-Paretzer Canal. A stop can be made in Marquardt. Boarding and disembarking are possible at the beach. In Marquardt, you can visit the palace gardens designed by Peter Josef Lenné. There is a restaurant in the town. Alternatively, for one-way tours, you can return from here to Werder (Havel) by train via Potsdam. Otherwise, the journey continues to Paretz (entry and exit at the Havel Canal water sports rest area). In the town, you can visit Paretz Palace and Park, the former summer residence of Frederick William III and Queen Louise. In Phöben, there is a mooring point at the local boat rental (restaurant available). The journey continues to Töplitz (mooring point at the marina behind the motorway bridge). Restaurants are also available in Töplitz. From here, the route returns to Werder (Havel).
