A raft trip around the island of Potsdam

A circular tour through the Havelland nature experience and the Potsdam World Heritage Site

Start finish: Schiffbauergasse, Potsdam

Detour:

• A circular tour through southwest Berlin: from Jungfernsee upstream along the Havel to Wannsee, then along the Wannsee chain of lakes and Griebnitzsee back to Potsdam.
• Continue to Brandenburg an der Havel

• Caputh: Einstein House, Caputh Castle
• Werder (Havel): Island with a historic town center
• Paretz: Castle

water profile:

• No locks, very slow current. The tour can therefore be navigated in both directions. Potsdam Havel with numerous lakes such as Templiner See, Schwielowsee, etc., many anchorages, no commercial shipping.
• Sacrow-Paretz Canal: straight canalized route with moderate commercial shipping traffic
